When it comes to dressing, Florence Welch is the woman that inspires designers not a mere dress hanger for them to showcase their designs on the red carpet. Her haute hippie style with lots of prints, ankle length pants and skirts and vintage looking pastel dresses that makes her look like a very fashionable ghost who is haunting the red carpet to scare the shit out of fashion victims is the other reason I love her so much.
As far as I remember she was named one of the muses for Viktor and Rolf’s 2013 Spring Summer Pre-Raphaelites collection with Grace Coddington. She honored Chanel Spring Summer 2012 Show in an oyster just like the famous Birth of Venus by Boticelli. Girlfriend is among the crème de la crème of fashion world.
Her everyday looks is so effortlessly chic and at the same time consistent that you automatically believe that what you see is what you get. This is not your average pop star created by the stylist, make-up artist, hair stylist, agent and PR consultant. There she comes, a girl with great creativity, voice, beauty, wits and fashion sense. All hail the queen.
This realness in her makes me want to befriend her instead of just putting her perfect style under radar. The style complements her curious personality and the fact that she is the perfect opposite of attention whore while being the center of attention makes me feel like she would be an interesting person to get accustomed with. I like the girl 🙂
That was the story of my first imaginary friend Florence Welch. Many more to come and I can’t even get them on a proper line.
